Outdoor Ed Trip #4
On the 25. October, I went on a surfing trip with the year 11 outdoor ed class at Anglesea Beach. We spent 3 nights in tents at the same caravan park as I stayed the month before on the trip along the Great Ocean Road. After we have arrived and set everything up, we already had our first surfing lesson. I was so excited and it was so much fun (even though I fell so many times of my board). But I managed it to catch some waves and stay on my board a few times.

The next day our surfing lesson was early in the morning. I guess I made some progress (as I didn't fall as often anymore). In the afternoon, we went to Torquay to visit the National Surfing Museum and have a look at the surfing shops.
On our 3rd day, we had a kayak lesson. It was good to do it once but I wouldn't really want to do it again. Then we had some free time to wonder around at Lorne.
On our last day, we had to get up really early and had to be on our boards at 8am. The waves were a bit bigger then the days before which didn't make it much more difficult to get on the board but harder to get out again. After we had packed everything we drove about 5 hours back to Wodonga.
I always wanted to try to surf and am really happy that I got the opportunity to try it. It was so much fun and belongs with the Great Ocean Trip to my highlights of the year.
